The Red Prince of Monferrato at Collisioni 2015

The Red Prince of Monferrato at Collisioni 2015

Collisioni returns this year on July 17-21. The literature and music festival, held in Barolo in the heart of the Langhe, has been held for years and attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Wine plays a central role in the program’s event.

Montalbera has chosen this year to take an active part in Progetto Vino, or Project Wine, held by Collisioni and organized by Ian D’Agata. They will put Ruchè, the Red Prince of the Monferrato, under the festival’s spotlights. The winery of Castagnole Monferrato has been passionately producing wine from this native variety for years. The event’s program will have a wine tasting dedicated to professionals and experts of the sector, and a lunch designed to express the potential of this wine when paired with food. These are just two moments during Collisioni that will be dedicated to Ruchè Montalbera, presented in its diverse expressions and interpretations at the festival.

In addition to wine events organized for professionals, the public is encouraged to discover and explore Montalbera wines: Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG “La Tradizione” will be available for tasting inside wine bars in the town, in addition to another red of the Monferrato, Grignolino d’Asti DOC “Grignè”.
